Comments on Mental Health & Exercise...

Tyson Fury

"The way I manage and maintain my mental health is; I keep active, I keep busy and I keep focused on training.

All the time I'm training and going to the gym, I'm letting out that energy and that bit of steam... and I feel good! But if i don't do it for a week or so i feel terrible.

It's not my body training, it's my mind. So if I have too much time off, I go backwards. Not in physical strength but mental strength."

Khloe Kardashian

"I promise you, the gym has taken away so much of my stress. It has helped calm me down. When I'm fidgety and I just feel like everything is closing in, I go to the gym.

You're building endorphins and feeling good about yourself. It's saved me."

Ellie Goulding

"Keeping fit doesn't mean spending hours at a gym; the key is to find a workout you really love.

The more I started doing classes and also working out with my trainer, the better I felt about myself.

Now that I believe in myself more, that confidence comes through, whether I'm working out, singing onstage, or just hanging out by myself at home."

Covid-19 & Mental Health

The pandemic has had a devastating impact on many young people, with growing numbers in people feeling deeply anxious, starting self-harming again, having panic attacks, or losing motivation and hope for the future, according to Young Minds charity.

The Mental Health Foundation went as far as warning of a growing mental health crisis in the UK after seeing the recent rates of depression double among the British population (ONS, 2021).

They also note that mental health and behavioural problems (e.g. depression, anxiety and drug use) are one of the main causes of the overall disease burden worldwide and are the primary drivers of disability worldwide.

Mental Health Realities...

Either us ourselves, or someone we know has experienced some form of mental health challenge over the past year or more.

And it’s ok if you have. It's been a crazy time with so much uncertainty around the world and society as well as career and life.

You've likely tried various ways to make yourself feel better, and maybe without much success.

Sometimes you just need to be educated and shown the way properly. And this happens across all disciplines in life.

And this is where Workout For Mental Wealth Month is that "something special" changing the game.

Focusing on prevention

Typically the healthcare system focuses more on treating symptoms rather than preventing them in the first place.

This promotes seeking temporary relief from things such as prescription medication, supplements, gadgets and toys

Is there the same push to get you doing exercise 4 times a week?

No. This is why our focus is on the prevention of mental health challenges.

We're sending all our subscribers exclusive content, videos, knowledge and information on how you can take action and develop your mental wealth!

Sign up now so you don’t miss anything!

This is going to be unlike anything else you’ve ever seen in the mental wellness realm.

Why let things get worse for yourself or people you care about?

We're In This Together

If you don't suffer from mental health challenges yourself, you can learn ways of preventing them in future.

Equally you can help people around you who might be experiencing mental health challenges.

There's a good chance that some of the people closest to us are experiencing a mental health challenge and we just don't know about it. These things are not always visible or obvious.

Partner up

Go beyond just sharing this with your friends and family.

If you're the one who wants to attend, share this with someone and ask them to attend the weekly events with you! This will add motivation to take action and help you avoid falling out of the routine.

If you know someone who would benefit from this, why not commit to doing each event with them?

You can provide them with the motivation they need.

If you do nothing, you risk everything.

The chances are nothing will change around us if we all do nothing. Now is the time to act and help ourselves and those around us.
