How does this work?

There’s going to be a number of online events on in the evenings throughout January. You can expect:

A variety of workouts from different fitness backgrounds for beginner to advanced levels, taught by some of the best personal trainers

Short talks from various mental health experts, psychologists, neuroscientists and more..

Interviews and live chats with a range of celebrities, influencers, nutritionists and more..

They’ll be delving deep into their knowledge and experiences to give you actionable tips and advice on developing mental wealth moving forwards.

Covid-19 & Mental Health

The pandemic has had a devastating impact on many young people, with growing numbers in people feeling deeply anxious, starting self-harming again, having panic attacks, or losing motivation and hope for the future, according to Young Minds charity.

The Mental Health Foundation went as far as warning of a growing mental health crisis in the UK after seeing the recent rates of depression double among the British population (ONS, 2021).

They also note that mental health and behavioural problems (e.g. depression, anxiety and drug use) are one of the main causes of the overall disease burden worldwide and are the primary drivers of disability worldwide.

Mental Health Realities...

Either us ourselves, or someone we know has experienced some form of mental health challenge over the past year or more.

And it’s ok if you have. It's been a crazy time with so much uncertainty around the world and society as well as career and life.

You've likely tried various ways to make yourself feel better, and maybe without much success. 

Sometimes you just need to be educated and shown the way properly. And this happens across all disciplines in life. 

And this is where Workout For Mental Wealth Month is that "something special" changing the game.

Focusing on prevention

Typically the healthcare system focuses more on treating symptoms rather than preventing them in the first place.

This promotes seeking temporary relief from things such as prescription medication, supplements, gadgets and toys

Is there the same push to get you doing exercise 4 times a week?

No. This is why our focus is on the prevention of mental health challenges.
